With a degree in Anthropology with a focus on Archaeology from the University of Chile, Catalina has worked on various FONDECYT projects, such as project No. 1140803, entitled «The Tawantinsuyo and the Aconcagua Culture: Sociocultural and Ideological Interaction during the Late Period in the Maipo Mapocho Basin.» In October 2014, she worked as a field staff member, carrying out both pedestrian surveys and archaeological surveys in the Curacaví sector. She subsequently worked on projects carried out by GMC Environmental Consulting in February and March 2022.
From 2023 to the present, she has worked as a Staff Archaeologist at GeoSalazar, monitoring, reviewing, and preparing archaeological survey proposals.
